The purpose of this document is to provide guidance that can be used by nuclear facility designers, applicants, licensees, architects/engineers, and regulators to establish reasonable confidence that a system can be safely and effectively operated by personnel during conditions under which the facility is expected to operate during the facility’s lifetime.
New IEEE Standard – Active. Guidance to prepare, plan, and conduct human factors performance-based validation of a component, sub-system, or system prior to its placement in-service, to assess reasonable confidence of compliance with functional and operational requirements is provided in this document.
