AS 3778.4.1:2022 identically adopts ISO 1438:2017, which defines the requirements for the use of rectangular and triangular (V-notch) thin-plate weirs for the measurement of flow of clear water in open channels under free flow conditions. It includes the requirements for the use of full-width rectangular thin-plate weirs in submerged (drowned) flow conditions.
This Australian Standard ® was prepared by CE-024, Measurement Of Water Flow In Open Channels and Closed Conduits. It was approved on behalf of the Council of Standards Australia on 30 May 2022.
This Standard was published on 10 June 2022.
